Tier 1 solar panels
Finance company Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) compiles list of Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 solar panel manufacturers.
This list is bought by investors in multi-million dollar solar projects to help them spend their money wisely.
"Tier 1" means financially strong, experienced and very large.
LonGi top the list making over 65 million panels a year !!
There are almost no Tier 2 and Tier 3 companies remaining, as they were mostly put out of business in 2014 when the Chinese Government decided to stop subsidising every Chinese panel manufacturer as had been the case up to then, and put all their money into a select few.
Those favoured Chinese companies now make up almost all of the Tier 1 list.
